Although this product is designed to fit in an RV door, it also works well outside. We live in Yuma where the sun can do a lot of damage to your van. Sunlight falling through a door can increase the interior temperature of your motorhome by up to 10 degrees. (Makes your air conditioner work a lot harder) This product works great by blocking sunlight from entering through the door window. We installed foil lids that don't work well from the outside. And when installed inside, they increased the heat at the window so much that the frame melted. This product was easy to install with the hardware that came with it. Installation took less than five minutes. So far very satisfied.
