Less durable than previously purchased

I bought these treat boxes for Christmas 2018 and they go perfectly with some of the 3.5 inch decorations I make so I decided to get them again last Christmas to buy. They assemble easily, but the boxes aren't as strong as they used to be, they didn't close at all (even when empty, so I know it's not the contents pressing against the sides).
