The thing is strong. Like "You can kill a moose" is pretty harsh. The skin is dense, I don't see any flaws. The zippers are smooth. The shoulder straps are easily adjustable and will not loosen when worn. It's big enough for my huge 15 inch Zbook with plenty of room. Thin water bottles fit in the side pockets. It's big and that allows me to fit a lot of things in it. I like the zippers in the outside pockets. "Seriously. "Killing a moose" is hard. Big moose. UPDATE: Months later I still love him. I use him every day. On weekdays he carries my big laptop, my gym clothes and my first- Emergency aid box It has hiking/fishing gear on days off TIP 1: The zipper in the main compartment opens and opens on its own. The zipper comes undone I've rubbed the zipper with beeswax and now it resists stretching more holds a lot better closed. Problem: Part of the thread wanted to come loose. I super glued the thread and it holds up. UPDATE-UPDATE:: This bag is broken! I use it all the time when I carry my work laptop back and forth, it's worth it To walk half a mile to the train station.It has had snow, rain, kicks, scrapes etc. Yes, it shows signs of wear The top part of the backpack has come off the body a bit The thread is wearing out Minor repair s aren't a big deal to keep a great bag. It's like car maintenance: if you drive it and never wait it will die soon. I would describe the skin as strong medium heavy. It's not super hard work. This is a strong bag. Still works fine. The end of the zipper had to be sewn up with thick thread at the bottom because the zipper sometimes fell off on one side or the other when I unzipped it all the way. The bags are still good. The lining came off and I removed it because it was annoying. The inside of the leather is soft enough not to scratch my laptop.
