Works well but is VERY white

If you are concerned about the white tint of a physical sunscreen, read no further because you will not like this sunscreen. However, if you're more concerned with skin- and reef-safe sunscreen, this could be your new favorite. My skin is extremely sensitive, fair and prone to sunburn and I have tried many different types of sunscreen. It's one of the most effective, but not my best choice. (Plus, I'm an adult. Yes, "baby" sunscreen works for us too! :P ) PROS:* Best rated as safe by EWG (Environmental Working Group) in *years* - for both you (and your kids) . ) and for the environment.* Never caused a rash, breakouts, or reactions on my sensitive skin, including my face.* Smells amazing! It has a light citrus scent.* When used correctly, it prevents sunburn. You have to rub it in and spread it out, and you have to reapply it as directed. spend time in the water? Dry off the towel and put on some more of it. Sat in the sun for a few hours? Time for a new application. Wearing sunscreen isn't fun — I'm with you there — but it's a necessary evil. I keep baby wipes in my beach bag to dry my hands after applying sunscreen*. ;) If the white tint bothers you and if you are looking for a deep tan, then definitely don't use your sunscreen! CONS: * It's white. Like, really really white. It's part of the physical barrier that blocks the sun, you know? If you rub it in *very* well, it will become more transparent but still have a white tint. I am very fair and look spooky for a while after applying this product. But my goal is to avoid skin cancer and not be on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition*. White can also be seen on bathing suits, towels and almost everywhere. I've found that it usually appears if you wipe the fabric with a towel and then wash as normal, but yes it will get onto the fabric and appear white, at least temporarily. *It is slightly oily and leaves a layer on the skin, unlike chemical sunscreens which are lighter and absorb faster and more completely (but also potentially toxic to you, fish and coral reefs - just to say the least). *Due to the above cons, I really only use this around the pool or on beach vacations. Sunscreen can change the appearance of fabrics and some jewelry. So if you're wearing good clothes or base metals, it's a good idea to wipe them off quickly. I consider it more of a "sporty" sunscreen, so I don't usually wear my Sunday Best with it. It's not my favorite reef sunscreen, but it's very, very good and more affordable. as my first choice (Beautycounter) so I buy a few tubes before I go on vacation knowing I have some good sunscreen - and won't be sad if I decide to leave 1/4 tube in order to get through airport security. For the record, I used almost all of these tubes on a 5 day beach vacation and this tube size definitely fits in the quart-sized plastic bag that TSA requires for carry-on luggage!
