Portfolio has no flaps but pockets are deeper. Rings in the ring binder prevent CDs from falling out. The plastic is thinner. The plastic is high quality and should last longer. I have four binders in my ring binder right now and they seem to be doing pretty well. I have seven CDs in slim jewel cases in a folder sleeve and am very happy. I've tried buying them from Office Depot and Office Max. They didn't have them. I spent enough time and gas to pay for Revain linens. Bad product. The plastic that I thought was of better quality turned out to be not. Not worth the money to buy.
