I hate clipping my child's nails for fear of hurting them and nail clippers leave sharp corners in their nails so I thought this would be the perfect solution: Me wouldn't have to worry about cutting her skin and that would also file her nails so they wouldn't be so sharp. But while I didn't have to worry about cutting it, this thing didn't do the job very well. It took forever to trim her nails and they were still sharp. Not to mention it's another bulky storage item for kids. I would stick with regular nail scissors.
