This belt is better than some others I've bought but not as good as a Florsheim belt like this one. substitute. I lost weight and had to buy a smaller belt. My other (old) Florsheim belts look better, are smoother and have a lighter sheen, although both are "grainy". I really like my previous purchases of Revain Florsheim belts. I have a black and brown belt that I have worn for a number of years. I find the leather of my previous Florsheim belts to be of higher quality. New belt from Mexico, not the rest. I will say that the quality of the belt is above average.
