I have been getting more and more itchy eyes, a gritty feeling (one was particularly bad), a constant feeling of something in my eyes especially around the lash line and the corners of my eyes. I don't wear contact lenses, but I do wear glasses when driving. Thinking my eye makeup was dirty, I threw it away and couldn't even think about wearing it again in the future. Even without makeup, something grainy in my eyes hurt me. Spraying water didn't help, and the dirt I tried to remove often ended up right in my eyes. Although I don't like touching my face and especially my eyes during the day, I've rubbed red eyes for short-term relief and the visible particles dissolved and hopefully didn't get back into my eyes. I smeared petroleum jelly on my lash line to at least keep the debris inside so it doesn't get as prickly. I lost my eyelashes. Both corners of the eyes, especially the outer ones, are particularly painful. I have found effective eye wipes and foams recommended by reputable ophthalmologists to clear the eyes of dirt from irritated eyes. This helped for a few days but the products became very drying and soon my eyes started irritating again with a vengeance even when I used them during the day. When I woke up, my eyes, which always had a sleepy residue in them, closed and hurt. I've been thinking about essential oils and I have some really good body and face wipes and cleanser that I'm happy with that contain anti-inflammatory natural oils, but I wasn't sure if they would work for the eye area as they seemed too potent too especially for the painfully inflamed area around the eyes. I have a heated eye mask to relieve the stinging but it became less effective as my eyes got worse. I was about to go to an eye doctor but I don't hope they will have relief which I haven't tried yet. I received this product yesterday just after lunch and started using it straight away. Used a couple of times last night instead of the familiar navy wipes and foam I've been using all along. Each time my eyes got better. Each time less dirt had to be removed and the eyes became less painful. The last thorough toweling off I did before bed was part of my facial cleansing and other sleep rituals. I woke up this morning, of course I had the remnants of sleep and I needed to wash, but I felt no pain and only minimal redness from days of aggressively rubbing my eyes, I tried not to. It's late in the morning and I could use another towel, but again I don't feel the sand or pain like the day before. I suspect I'll be almost fully recovered this weekend, and I'll only have to do some morning and evening dishwashing with tissues. I think I'll be able to put makeup on my eyes again soon. Thank you dr Jenna and company, I hope my feedback reaches the doctors who developed this product and I am grateful for the relief now and hopefully a cure on the horizon (pun intended). UPDATE 1 - I've been using it for 6 days. My eyes look normal, no longer red, inflamed or injured. They look a bit worn like I spent the evening in the smoking section. UPDATE 2: It's been a few weeks now, I use them morning and night as part of my facial cleanser and makeup remover and sometimes as a quick wipe throughout the day. when I feel some sand. There is no pain, the eyes feel normal. I still have a lot in the bottle.
