*Edit I've had this for two months now and all the sharp metal pins have come out of the plastic tips. I even glued them all back on and tried again but they came out again and they are so sharp they could scratch and cut the headliner/dashboard. I do not recommend. I return to the folding lampshade. I really like how compact it folds up. It also matches my window perfectly. My only issue is that one of the prongs went through the plastic tip and it was razor sharp. If I hadn't seen him, he would most likely have torn my blanket.
