The stretch function is good. I've been uncomfortable with rigid belts lately and don't want to switch to suspenders. Even the washing machine survived without any problems. (I hung it to air dry). However, it doesn't seem to hold up very well once installed. I update it constantly throughout the day. I suspect it needs sharper "teeth" to hold it.
