Easy assembly, same installation. I attached the antenna to the tube that came with it, and then used a pair of hose clamps to attach the tube to half-inch thin-walled steel tubing along its entire length and anchored the tube a few feet up on the four-by-four sides cemented to the ground. with four feet of wood above the ground. and there were no problems with wind or traffic. We haven't had a single windy day since then so I'll let you know if this ever becomes an issue. I bought an amplifier which is highly recommended for this antenna. I installed an antenna for a friend and scanned the channels. We live next door and I have a directional antenna for outdoor use that is a few years older. the best then. It has 59 channels. 19 channels more than me! A plus. I pointed it west for specific channels she wanted. the ones I can't/can't get. And it still gets the channels in the Northeast that I'm aiming for. The TV used is (obviously) a much older Samsung digital TV, not a smart TV. AND I FORGOT TO INSTALL THE POWER BOOSTER! (The amp has tons of reviews and I'm sure it's legit, mine makes all the difference. It's almost overwhelming to imagine how much better the coverage could be once it's installed. Either that or it's already delivering every channel around to be Ni Cal, East Bay, Oakley) It receives all sci-fi channels as well as all Sacramento stations. I'll let you know when the update booster is installed. To be honest I have a hard time believing it could get any better. The only thing to keep in mind when assembling it is that the aluminum pieces that make up the antenna are lightweight and can easily bend if mishandled, dropped, or treated carelessly. Also, check/ensure all parts are properly aligned prior to installation. However, be careful when bending other parts back into place as you can crease them and easily bend the metal. Be careful when assembling, and you don't have to worry. I'm a retired IT engineer and needed to do my part for AV support. This guy is a really easy, simple and impressive winner.
