The protective tips even work with the 2018 2nd generation Apple Pencil.

Better than I expected! The protective tips will work as long as the 2018 2nd Gen Apple Pencil STILL STANDS UP. So the new pencil doesn't have a charger on the tip, but still fits with a cat on the tip with a tiny gap.
