If you want the assembled junk to look like furniture, this article is for you

Could be worse. It has a place and a purpose. For me, it's next to my sofa where I have six inches of space and a wall to stabilize it. HOWEVER, the materials are WAY overpriced and the only part of it that most people can't make themselves (metal) is the part that makes it useless. If you need to toss this thing in a corner and there's no way to draw your own 1x6, then fine. I'll report back once I figure out how to take it apart because the screws slide off like butter. Details below if you want them.1. This is a 6x1 chopped with raw edges and coarse sanding that has been painted over once (already faded). It was chipped on arrival. Nothing holds it together. This is honestly just a trash board. LOVE that it's a solid piece of wood! I can polish it myself and make it better if I want. but then why did i pay 40 dollars?2. The metal plating is weak. Black is easy to remove. Each screw hole has sharp edges. The screws are regular black tipped screws. Also, there was a strange wire attached to the screw that pierced the vinyl magazine mount before assembly. Wobbles on flat surfaces. I put it on a flat kitchen counter and it STILL wobbled. This is not my floor, this is a metal base.4. The vinyl magazine rack is oddly sewn with raw edges. I can't even explain it. He has an odd flair. It doesn't really bother me, but it's just bad design.5. The processing is ok, but not outstanding. The wood is not pre-drilled and if you don't assemble the magazine rack beforehand, you'll quickly find that something doesn't fit. I had to redo. I didn't mind, but someone else could do it.
