IT truly eliminates blind spots

I installed this in a 1999 Subaru Impreza Outback. I've watched a few videos and in most of them the sun visor has been removed and the holes have been used to support the mirror and the sun visors have been removed. I was able to install the Wink mirror using 1 of the 2 holes for each sun visor and added a longer corner piece to bring the mirror closer to the windshield leaving enough room to reinstall the sun visors and keep them functional. I'm very happy with how it works. Eliminates blind spots on the sides of the car; but it also gives you a much broader, panoramic view of what's happening beside you and behind you. So it's much more convenient to rebuild... and secure. I was wondering if driving at night would cause my headlights to reflect in the mirror and blind me. There was no such thing...I don't know why...but still there is no glare at night from the headlights of cars coming behind us. In addition, there is no vibration of the mirror at any speed. I wasn't sure which way to put the mirror. However, I eventually figured out that the side of the mirror that the square head screw should be on is the side of the mirror that should be on the driver's side. I'm very happy with this addition to the car... And just wondering if my now working but ugly Subaru will be worth enough to hide away. I recommend everyone to try this.

Pros
  • Easy to install with included metal frame mount above windshield
Cons
  • The list goes on.
