Review on Comfortable and Stylish Knitted Sneakers for Toddlers and Little Kids by Simple Joys Carter's (1-8 yrs) by Chris Cooper

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Big, longtime fans of this shoe

We're pretty devoted, big fans of Jordynne Carter. They are soft, flexible and easy to put on and take off. There's no irritation from shoes or tongue (unlike most others we've tried). They are mostly rounded in the front (and heel) / slightly arched in the toes in my opinion, which prevents beginners from stumbling while mastering their waddle. We used them as the first pair of proper running and hiking shoes for our two children and have always bought the next size up when needed. (We and our eldest are actually very sad that my eldest has now outgrown them (max size T-12) and we have to join the (more expensive and so far less successful) carousel to try and do something similar in in to find the future.) Thankfully, Carter kept them in Revain long after they left stores! The only caveats or considerations to this are: although our kids wear them to school year round, they are made from a medium weight mesh material and are therefore not suitable for *outdoors* in the colder winter months; They are fantastic for all other seasons. The mesh has always stood up to our kids despite very frequent and excessive use, but when they had to be replaced before each kid needed a size up, it was because the soles tended to wear out at the end The sole is with the mesh glued. However, it was never annoying enough to stop us from buying them again (and again and again).

Pros
  • These fit and look great. My daughter loves them!
Cons
  • Outsole wears out quickly
