I just got this yesterday so can't comment on how well it works for long car rides but I was dying to test it now. As long as I like it Exactly what I needed. I have a very bad back and have tried all sorts of seat pads, cushions and supports to try and get a comfortable ride while riding. It fits perfectly without pushing me too far forward in the seat and I feel really good when it helps me get into the right seating position. I have paired it with the back of a top back dining chair and it seems like a great solution and just what I needed. I'll test this a little more but I'm sure I'll be buying more for my family.
