It's very easy to set up and use except you need to learn how to attach a small handle to the base to keep water from seeping through. A good tight fit will do. Just enough water comes out to keep the bowl full (but not too full), and the round glass bowl is easy to drink from with plenty of room for a mustache. Easy easy. All this to say that I had a similar water dispenser (the bowl was plastic, it's glass) and I would like to warn that it will become inconvenient if you are not willing to keep it clean almost daily. With the older one I thought I was going to run hot water through the channel and all the other parts were enough, but it wasn't enough and with all the water remaining on the internal parts like electric drinking fountains it was running poorly. and I never managed to catch up. I don't want to discourage anyone from trying this, just make sure you have the tools and mindset to keep it clean - it's a lot easier after that than letting things take their course. . A good piping brush or a straw brush that fits in the small channel below that directs water from the dispenser to the bowl is ideal and very easy. Wash the glass bowl and filter handle with dishwashing liquid and rinse with hot water. I have a nice soft brush that comes with a replacement air filter that is perfect for cleaning the mesh filter on the underside of the handle. I even have the sponge brush that came with the French Press that fits into the water holder to keep it clean. not good for a kitten. Note. I don't use a dishwasher at the moment so I can't comment on how well it handles these conditions, but it is very easy to clean with hot water, soap and the products outlined above.
