I'm glad the wooden part is bamboo I think. The bristles are a bit coarser than a wild boar or horsehair brush. Don't let the hype fool you, especially the brand name. The bristles are made of plastic. Plastic is not environmentally friendly unless it is made entirely from recycled plastic and can only be disposed of for recycling. Cruelty Free is another marketing term overused here. This article is not tested on animals, so what animals are actually being "saved" from torture or death here? Boar or horsehair is as inhumane a production as any other mass-market animal. Wild boar are caught in the wild, but like most cows, chickens, sheep, pigs, rabbits, etc., they are bred for mass production. Some wild boars are said to be "sheared” without killing them. Perhaps the boar is rarely bred solely for its bristly coat, there are many industrial uses for the rest of the animal, as for all other animals bred for production. 100% vegan? I'm always curious how many vegans are replacing animal by-products with synthetic, fossil fuel-powered products and why they are doing it. The marketing hype here is no different than the use of the term "natural" (which doesn't mean much anymore). So how eco-friendly or non-abused is plastic in relation to the fossil fuels it takes to make it? This type of marketing works when people accept it without even thinking about it. If you want to save a wild boar, why not cows, chickens, sheep, pigs, rabbits or the planet? Unfortunately, I'm not sure if EcoTools is helping the boar or the planet - that's utter nonsense.
