Reviews do not give this item the attention it deserves. I honestly wasn't expecting much, but I was desperate. We have fabric bite guards that keep the child moving. Our frame is bent so I was nervous, plus it has some damage to the paint and wood. Attach: I unrolled the bar and then placed it on the crib rail. Then I attached it to the rail with cut rubber bands that were tied. This was to shape it before gluing. I leave it for 5 or 6 hours with a cloth bed rail. Then I cut off the rubber bands and glued the strip. The instructions say don't try to stretch it. I skipped the sanding step if you have damage since the glued part doesn't touch the damaged part of the rail. After gluing I added a fabric bumper over the silicone strip for extra protection.
