When these cables first came out my reaction was WTF! I was expecting a regular gauge cable. They were much larger in diameter. Since I wanted to use it to power my Samsung tablet in the living room, I tried it - my factory cable broke where the wire meets the connector housing. I really like the cables, especially their extra stiffness. For my use this is perfect and the cable feels more solid where the wire connects to the case.
