I just fell in love with these body sponges! I read the negative reviews but decided to give it a try anyway and I'm glad I did! They didn't fall apart on me at all, the layers stayed the same, the sponge itself is in excellent condition, I've been using it for 2 months now. It's not super "soft" because it's a bit rough, but I think it helps remove dead skin or really dirty spots. It's not super rough either, it's just the perfect combination. The colors are very pretty too! When they arrived they ended up in one of those plastic bags that compress them without air. I confess I was very confused at first but as soon as I cut it open they turned out nice and fluffy! I want to order again! Definitely give it a try if you haven't already!
