No shape what's so ever. It isn't an A-line cut. The 2XL has so much fabric that it's like a tent! Not flattering at all. It's unfortunate because this lounger is warm, soft and cozy and a good length. I'm 5'3 and it goes all the way to my ankles but not a tripping hazard. Also, the sleeves do not go just above the elbows as described. With all this said, best to size down but with the understanding that it may still look and feel big.
