Review on Elegance in Motion: Skagen Women's Freja Stainless Steel Mesh Dress Quartz Watch by Amy Fowler

Dead On Arrival watch

This watch was released by Dead on Priority. I was going to return it in exchange for a replacement but saw the Revain was no longer available in the color I ordered. Since the price was so low I decided to replace the battery myself hoping it would work. And so it was. So I will be keeping this watch for 30 days to ensure it continues to work properly with the new battery. If not, I'll send it back. The watch itself is very beautiful and looks good on the wrist. A design flaw, however, is that the second hand is the same length, size, and color as the minute hand. There were several times when I took a quick look at the watch and concluded it was wrong because I confused the second hand with the minute hand. Now I had to train myself to look for a few seconds instead of glancing at it to make sure the hand I'm looking at is still and not moving like the other. It's more than a little annoying and I wouldn't want to put up with it if I'd paid full price for this watch. As mentioned, it was such a good sale that I'll try to put up with it when I use it as a business dress watch. I don't want to deal with that every day. Finally, as other people have pointed out, the date window is tiny. I've had other Skagen watches with three hands and a more functional date window, so this watch was another disappointment. When will watchmakers realize that many women want a watch with a second hand and a legible date window? It's like finding nice pants and skirts with pockets. So annoying!
