I bought this for maintenance, not as a nighttime tonic. I love that it contains both AHA (exfoliates dead skin) and BHA (clears pores and removes dirt). When I first used this I applied two or three coats over the course of two days. I know it's not that much, but my skin is very sensitive. I did this mainly to see what I can take. Instant smoothness! Now I use it mostly 2-3 times a month which is enough after the first trial run. It always restores my facial skin to its original smoothness after the first use. I even use it on the CP in my arms now. Half successful. Either way, this is an amazing scrub. It's watery so you have full control over how much you need, which is good for sensitive skin.
