I read reviews and chose this one. All the stores were out of sandals which I usually buy (Teva) and I didn't think I would ever buy anything without trying it on first but I was desperate. It's sooo comfortable! I wore them all day the first day and never had a problem. I had surgery on my left foot, ankle and heel and have to stand all day at work. A break-in period is not necessary! I switch between these and soft tennis shoes at work and I'm a happy backpacker! They are adjustable in 3 different places. Through the toes, behind the heel and around the ankle. The back of the heel is soft, I have absolutely nothing to rub. I can't say how long they will last but I love them and am ordering another pair.
