I bought a new Sony TV and a Yamaha receiver with HDMI ARC connection. First I used an optical output for sound and a standard HDMI cable. I wasn't very impressed with the picture and sound quality. I thought it should be better. I read the reviews on these cables and decided to give it a try. I've done away with the digital optical cable and only used HDMI ARC connections with this cable. The picture and sound quality are amazing. Doesn't matter.
