Advantages: Price. The price is often lower than the competition, around $5.66 per bottle. Cons: The blending grid is completely useless (I ended up throwing them all away). The mixing ball is too light, it floats in the water, which reduces its effectiveness. The nuggets of power often stick to the ground. Contigo makes a shaker with a hard, heavy mixing ball, which is much better, and I usually use those mixing balls with this shaker. Also, the sizes only go up to 20 oz, which is smaller than other similar sized shakers (28 oz). Other comments: The construction appears to be average. The plastic isn't as thick as other shakers (like the Contigo) but seems good enough to get the job done. It doesn't look like it can take a lot of abuse, but I'm not sure shakers should. Overall a good shaker but I won't be buying it again. The 28oz Contigo Shake & Go Fit Snap Cap Shaker Bottle is more durable, has a heavier mixing ball, sizes up to 24oz, and doesn't have an annoying/useless mixing grid. The Contigo is currently priced a few cents cheaper than the BluePak Shaker and I will stick to that price in the future.
