The lamp is very easy to install. However, this is not the correct outside diameter for a Harley STREET XG500 headlight. It comes off about half an inch and doesn't fit snugly. Without the tensioners, it wouldn't stand still at all. The instructions aren't great either, but if you have any mechanical or electrical experience you won't have any trouble installing it. and it's VERY bright. Halo looks amazing. The only other complaint, aside from the fit, is that the lens is worn and doesn't look clean - it's certainly not glass and most likely uncoated. Another issue I've found, which may be my own fault, is that I can't get the flashing to work on my particular bike - I'm not sure why, because again the instructions aren't very good. This is a pretty good product though - it could be a better fit. In terms of value, I'll take it anyway as I won't pay $300 for a similar American made product made with a precision fit. You take risks with things from China.
