Bought for our mini 13lb dachshund who likes to root. He really seems to like it. When we set him down, he immediately jumped up and dug under the valve. It's a bit big for him but really lets him burrow in when he wants to, but also has enough space for him to lie outside if it's too warm. For smaller dogs, consider going down a size (if that's the case). My only complaint is that the middle third or so of the flap is always folded back. It looks like it's just a crease in the fabric due to the shipping method, not a manufacturing defect. Of course, the dog doesn't care, it just looks weird. I would also say that the product image is not a great representation of the product. The top is not a semi-dome, it lies flat more like a sleeping bag.
