I watched several videos on how to install this on my 2011 Tiguan, and while time-consuming, the installation part was pretty simple and straightforward with this replacement part. Clips worked perfectly. However, the part came with the sides rolled up unevenly, and so the springs on the tension ends kept pulling off as I was trying to clip them on the clips. Finally got them installed and attached to the metal bar, but as soon as I closed it, the springs unwound from the track and bunched up so that the shade won't retract or pull tight. I don't want to kill the motor messing with it any more, so I'll have to take it all apart and remove it again. The task wouldn't have been too difficult if the part had worked as it should.
