Review on ๐Ÿ”’ Enhanced Security with Kryptonite Bicycle Disc Lock Reminder and Bike Cable by Chris Riley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent disc lock cable

This disc lock cable is an absolute must when using a disc lock on a motorcycle - it reminds you that the lock is in place and prevents you from damaging the front brake caliper. Brake lines, disc brake, etc. if you try to start with the disc lock installed. Not to mention the potential damage to yourself (the bike falls on you or you go over the bars) and certainly not embarrassing doing that very stupid thing in front of friends or other spectators. I always keep my reminder cable attached to the disc lock in the saddlebag so I remember to use it when I mount the disc lock on the front wheel. This cable is 1/8 inch in diameter and is covered in bright orange plastic to make it work. as a warning to potential thieves that the bike has a disc lock. The loops at the ends of the cable are large enough to fit almost any oversized handle. The overall length of the cord is 48 inches, but you can get about 40 inches of usable length due to the tight coil on the cord. This length is long enough to easily reach the handlebars when the brake disc lock is installed on the front disc, but does NOT reach far enough to install the brake disc lock. on the rear wheel. I use this lockout on a Vulcan 900 Custom to give the front wheel proper caster on this mid-size cruiser. If you want to use the disc-lock reminder cable on the chopper or if you want to use the disc-lock reminder cable on the rear wheel, use the extended cable here: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002YK0JX2/ ref =wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding =UTF8&colid=G93QKKNHZUQL&coliid=I3HXNG6ME377UV
