Oddly this works great in my 2002 Saab 9-3 Turbo Convertible, although I doubt it was designed for that purpose. I had to cut 1/2" to 3/4" of the bottom (2 seconds with a utility knife) to get it out of the way of the collar, which has to be lifted to engage reverse. Done, everything is fine. Covers a worn spot on the leather of the original shifter. It's not at all unsightly or awkward to use, it's cheaper, and more importantly, it's about 1,000 times easier to install than a replacement stylus.
