I needed more space on my bedside table for laptop, phone, headphones, charging station etc. It's the perfect size to sit on my bedside table. Goes perfectly with my 30 year old cherry bedroom set. The best part is the swivel so you can put something on the other side and then rotate the attachment to reach whatever you need without getting out of bed. I also put a small fan on top and I can rotate the riser to move the fan to where I need it. I liked it so much that I bought another one for my wife's bedside table. Easy to assemble. Highly recommended!
