Antenna performance is often misunderstood so I was skeptical about the claimed performance but the price was reasonable as was the return policy so I decided. I'm happy to say I'm glad I did. Living in California's Inland Empire, we are out of line of sight of LA transmitters so reception was patchy, even with a 12 foot Winegard platinum monster antenna seen for miles. Especially difficult was KCBS 2, which we never managed to get. After replacing the beast with a 5-star HDTV antenna (33 feet above the ground), we receive all broadcast channels in the Los Angeles area for the first time. The swivel function on the remote made it easier to find the right spot, so I don't expect to ever need to use this function again. It has an active signal booster that requires power (a must for wall mounting) but was easy to install. As long as the power supply and internal amplifier work, this antenna will last a long time. With this improved reception I really hope so.
