Review on ๐Ÿงฆ CompressionZ Plantar Fasciitis Compression Socks by Johnny Wheat

Slight compression but may be a better choice for some people!

Most reviews were really good but I wasn't entirely happy with this one and here's why: very thin material and doesn't compress too much. I have a slim female foot but size 9.5 so I bought a large size so I think it fits but they weren't very tight. I will try another brand. (Want to also mention that I'm an RN so I've seen and felt a few different compression products over the years, can tell the difference in material and compression strength) Update 5/29/15: I've given some further thought to these hoses and have quite a few additional feedback for those considering this purchase. In fact, they can work very well for certain people, for the following reason: Very tight compression materials are very difficult to put on (bad for the arms and back in the elderly OR just less flexible people). I know this from my work as a nurse and I help patients put on compression stockings and socks! So if you decide to buy a thicker material, you may have to work hard to put it on. Therefore, there is a need for softer types of compression like this. Not a perfect world, you'll get less compression than you'd like, but at least you can put them on easily! Something to consider! But also remember: if this tube or others leave a deep hole in your skin in the upper or lower band, they are not the right fit for you. Of course, expect some imprint and you'll see more of it if you have swelling, but if it really binds on both ends (you'll know that because the imprint lasts an hour or more once you remove them! ) they are COUNTERPRODUCTIVE and put you at risk of a blood clot. I know I've said a lot, but I'll sum up my review this way: on the hose, or you have swelling or fat feet/legs (sorry for being harsh!) First, buy a size UP. And you might actually consider buying THIS softer brand of compression hose. But don't leave them on all the time: I recommend taking them off after a maximum of two hours (or after your workout) and putting them back on later if you like. This is the top band (on the calves) and the bottom band (near the toes) where problems arise if the compression piece is not a good fit or is too tight, so don't leave it and check it all the time. How does your skin look when you take it off! I hope all of this was helpful for your purchase decision!
