I bought this balaclava for my grandson who has been skiing for 6 years. He has a medium sized head and this balaclava fits him perfectly! I assume he'll be able to use it both this winter and next winter (when he turns seven), which is in line with the company's age guidelines. As for other reviewers who said it runs small - it felt tight when I started putting it over my head, but then it fit perfectly when I put it on.
