I received the Canon EOS 2000D in the box yesterday, charged the battery, followed the other steps to prepare and started shooting. I found it helpful to download the manual as well as the Canon EOS Utility software (free) which made it easy to transfer photos to my computer. I'm 72 and haven't really delved into digital cameras in years - I have a small Canon SX-260 which was a fun camera, no complaints, but I wanted to upgrade - and this SLR certainly is. . It's a little intimidating to look at all of its features, but the main automatic feature is easy to use, and I'll play around with the creative modes at some point. The manual clearly describes how to use the various functions, so it's just a matter of experimentation. As I said, I've only had the camera for a day, but so far I'm very satisfied.
