I bought this belt to wear with Bermuda shorts for summer housework. I sweat a lot and like a nylon or cloth belt so it dries out and doesn't soil my shorts or pants like a leather belt. This belt meets this requirement and is very durable. An added benefit is how it works, you can easily remove your pants or shorts and then put them back on in the same position without having to re-tighten or undo the belt. Nice feature. My only complaint is that because of this feature, you only use it on one pair of shorts or pants at a time. The belt is not for one pair of pants a day.
