Review on 🐠 Maxi-Jet Pro Pump for Aquariums: 3-in-1 Powerhouse by Marineland by Emily Myers

I installed the MJ900 in a 16 gallon BioCube. I'm happy with the performance, it's much better than the original pump. It's kind of a tight fit. You must use a short strainer (included). I had to cut about 1/2 inch from the original tank outlet tube as the new pump was slightly less powerful than the original. Then he came very close. I found I had to mount it on suction cups to keep it from rattling. You need to lightly attach the mount to the top of the glass before inserting the power head, then slide the power head onto the mount, then slide down and press to lock. "The fit isn't very snug, so it's a bit wobbly when you prop it up at the outlet. It comes with a range of accessories, all of which are good. It was noticeably louder than the original pump at first, but after I got it I... secured it with suction cups and it wears a bit like it's ok but it's not totally silent. I didn't want to pay more than $50 for a quieter version. I'm happy with that. I prefer the simpler filter design compared to the original, which I never wanted to deviate from.
