I had to get these for two reasons. (1) Hyper flashing, the other headlights I ordered flashed rapidly because the car thought the stock bulb was burned out (lower power consumption). (2) You have the correct tabs in the base to hold the light in the Toyota Highlander turn signal bracket. Other lanterns had a smooth base where they inserted into the mount and a shoulder above the inserted part. As a result, when they were inserted, they simply fell out backwards. And in the Highlander the taillights are mounted, if you put them in and they fall into the assembly you're in for a lot of trouble. You must remove the assembly to get it back! It didn't happen but I was very close when I pulled the light out and the bulb came out of the light and stayed in the assembly! As a surgeon, I used forceps with long needles to remove it and luckily it didn't fall off. But it's a tight little hatch you can't see through. So be careful and make sure the light snaps into place and is held quickly before putting it back into the assembly. If they are the newest now they would be perfect for the second generation Toyota Highlanders. I'll only repost if they don't work. Note. Please mention your vehicle in reviews so others can see what works and what doesn't. Kind regards.
