I was concerned about the stretching of the straps when attaching the hammock to a tree as others have said. At least for my use of making a loop of webbing, reaching into a 72 inch circumference tree and pulling it through me to attach a hammock carabiner, there was no problem. I tried to tie myself. The edges will melt when you cut it and it shouldn't tear. It stretches a bit, but in general I found that made it more comfortable to use.
