These charcoal bags are a great way to absorb odors, although I'm not sure about air purification. I refuse to use those air freshener sprays because it seems like I'm just spraying chemicals all over the house. They are safe, non-toxic and I feel comfortable using them around my child and pet. I put 2 bags in the fridge and freezer. It's more convenient than baking soda because I don't have to worry about spilling the contents like I do with baking soda cans. These bags are made of durable burlap and will not leak, even when touched by children. I like the design with a hole in the middle to allow for more surface area and airflow. "charge" by simply placing them in the sunlight once a month. A great, non-toxic way to freshen the air in your home.
