To be honest we just bought a house that had pretty bad lighting. The kitchen had a single-light pendant above the kitchen table and a very, very dim light near the stove. I could not bear it. I went to Lowes and loved the look of the track lights as well as the ability to move the lights to where you want them. The problem is that 1-Lowes lighting was VERY expensive compared to this model and most of them appeared to be built in LEDs that only came with a 5 year warranty while this model has real bulbs which can be replaced. I prefer replacing bulbs rather than replacing the entire fixture. Once you know what you're doing, installation was a breeze. pay attention to dimensions. It's not as long as I hoped, but overall I'm very satisfied.
