Not very moisturizing. The smell is extremely mild and no one else can smell it unless they touch their nose to my hands which are still wet from this product. It also smells more like sage than lavender. It reminds me of cooking a Thanksgiving turkey. I think it absorbs into my skin quite well. Doesn't leave a greasy feeling, just a slight moist feeling. It really doesn't do anything for my skin. It doesn't soften it and when I wash it off later my skin is no more moisturized than it was before use. That's why I didn't care. I've been using it since I got it and my skin isn't hydrated at all. It actually feels less hydrated than before since using it in place of my regular moisturizer. Now I tend to have fairly dry skin because I live in the desert where it's very hot and rarely humid. This can be good for those who live in a different environment and don't need a lot of fluids. As far as it is used for massage, it spreads easily. However, the lack of fragrance and moisture would make me choose something else.
