Review on πŸ”§ HASKO Accessories: Premium Stainless Steel Vacuum Suction Cup Hooks for Bathroom and Kitchen- Securely Holds Towels, Robes, and Loofahs (Chrome) by Hector Trung

Works well and ONLY looks nice on shower tiles if you are patient and use it correctly!

I bought this hook to use in the shower to hold the wet rags my husband usually throws at the soap dispenser. It drives me crazy because it then runs down and melts the soap leaving the soap dish covered in Irish spring film! Take a close-up look at our shower tiles. It is smooth but slightly uneven (typical shower tiles). I read all the information before purchasing to make sure it would work on my tile and was assured it would. However, I arrived on time, well packaged and with clear instructions. When I first tried to install it, it didn't work. I made sure my tiles were clean and dry. I followed the instructions in the email (which, by the way, doesn't say anything about plugging in the hook before pinning it to the wall - the instructions should say something about that as it won't be pinned), but after about 15 minutes. he fell off the wall. I tried again, this time putting a washcloth on it and it fell off even faster. Needless to say I was disappointed and was about to return it and write a two star review but decided to read the other comments and replies instead. to fix this issue and found an answer where the manufacturer suggested that the customer attach a suction cup and then come back a few hours later and twist the handle again to make sure enough suction is achieved before anything gets on the hooks is hanged. The next morning, when I got out of the shower, I dried the tiles (this time I chose a different square) and vacuumed them. I waited a full 24 hours (maybe it was too much but I wanted to be SURE) and then tightened the knob even more to the point it wouldn't turn anymore. THEN I tried hanging a wet rag on it and what do you know it's still sticking! Now that I've got it plugged in and working, I'm happy with how it looks and works. In summary, if you have tiles like mine, I suggest that you be patient with this and do it from the start (just ignore the 1 minute install part of their instructions and packaging). My advice/criticism to HASKO is: if you advise people struggling with a loose hook to do this, why isn't it in your instructions at all? Or at least it should be included in the guide as a troubleshooting tip. I ended up giving it 4 stars because the product itself works well and looks nice but admittedly I was disappointed when it wasn't as quick and easy to apply as advertised and I almost sent it back. I just want other buyers to be aware of this so that they are successful from the start. Hope this helps someone! I did NOT receive this item for free or at a discount. UPDATE: Still holding securely after a month of use with heavy wet rags! If you put it on correctly, it stays in place!
