I have several Canon m50 batteries that I use in the field. But when I'm shooting seated videos, product reviews, or vlogs at home with the camera stationary on a tripod, I don't want to keep changing batteries while I'm shooting a few hours of video, B-movie, and photo sessions. . So I decided to order a TKDY ACK-E12 power supply with a dummy battery and it works great! I've had no problems with it and my Canon m50 runs all day. I just plug in the dummy battery, then plug the adapter into the dummy battery, then plug the adapter into an outlet. Boom, the camera works all day. Note: The adapter does not have an on/off switch, so you must unplug it or unplug the adapter from the camera if you do not want the camera to work 24/7. I usually just unplug the adapter. Wand after I finish my session and plan to come back later. but this is optional. I left everything plugged in overnight and had no problems. If you don't want to move the camera around a lot when taking videos or photos, this is a great little device to buy. Basically, it's like plugging your camera into an outlet when you really need it. Then simply unplug, remove the dummy battery, replace it with a real battery, and you're ready to take your camera with you on the go. Really good product. Highly recommended for use with the Canon m50.
