Review on Enhanced BH1500 Bar-Hopper with Convenient Handle-bar Mounted Cup Holder by Fred Massingill

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works perfectly . . . after a painful installation.

Updated Review: I took my bike to the local shop and the guy trimmed the padding to fit the handlebars properly. It couldn't use the included spacers without changing them, which I think is kind of a bunk, but now it's great that it's securely installed. Very happy with the end result and would recommend - just be prepared for a not-so-smooth install. Also, it can be difficult to find a jar that is tapered to fit the holder and has a leak-proof lid, but I have a good click-to-sip jar at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (California, Texas, Arizona, Nevada) found Hawaii). Old Review: Every little bump got weaker and weaker as I rode. I ended up tightening the screw every few minutes and eventually my coffee glass fell onto the road. I think this is a design flaw: the screw has a uniform flat head (so can't be screwed in with a screwdriver) and goes through a plastic triangular bit for finger tightening. The idea is that the triangular head becomes the head of the screw; However, the triangular head slides along the screw during installation, making it difficult to tighten sufficiently. When I installed it I used a thicker washer around the handlebar and used a wrench on the triangular head but it still didn't help. Maybe mine is defective or something, but what a waste. Very disappointed.
