When folded it's so light and compact I thought it wouldn't work well. But it is so! You have to attach a small strap at the front so it fits snugly around your neck, at least I did, but I was able to sleep almost upright during several long hours on the bus in Peru and Bolivia. I like that it has a thinner neck because I like to rest my head on the back of the seat. I've found that I can't do this with thicker neck pillows and my head is tilted forward. This pillow is easy to inflate and deflate. And very tiny when deflated and placed in a small pocket in a purse, backpack or carry-on. Perfect.
