When I first got this phone I thought it was a 2 or 3 star phone but the longer I've had it the more I hate it. The button you press to end a call gets stuck so I have to pry it off with my fingernail when I pick up the phone. Annoying but maybe not a big deal...UNLESS it was an emergency. But what made me want to return it is when I go to pick up the phone because the base is so light and the hand cord is so tight it ALWAYS pulls the phone off the bedside table. Then I have to pick it up and the line cord and hand cord get tangled. An annoying mess! Why go through this?! Recently I happened to be using an old thin AT&T phone. The phone was lighter (okay, maybe because it didn't have a lot of features) BUT the base was heavy enough and the hand cord was more flexible so it didn't fall off the bedside table. Who would have thought that something so simple could bring so much joy?! Perhaps placing this phone on a tabletop and not bothering that the base reaches out to you would be satisfactory, or placing it as a wall phone, but other than that....
