Review on Mr. Heater MHVFGH30NGBT Black Vent Free Space Heater by Dewey Galyon

Update: it stopped working so I cleaned out the lines with my air compressor. After that it works just as good as new again! 2 &1/2 years and still going strong!Bought this heater for my two car garage. On a 30 degree day I can get the garage so hot it is uncomfortable. The heater does have a built-in fan although it is piss poor and not even worth the mention. The switch to operate the fan is also in an awkward location BEHIND the heater so when it’s wall-mounted if you have large hands you are not going to be able to turn it off and on. The switch is supposed to operate in three positions the first position is on, the second position is off, and the third position is auto. Although I found out very quickly that auto does not work and it just stays on the whole time. The heater itself has a very low profile and does not stick out far at all. The pilot seems to stay lit well and I’ve only had to light it once from it going out on it’s own. I paid an HVAC person $300 to install it so I can’t tell you how easy it was to install but I know it took him about two or three hours to run the gas line to the basement. For the price of the heater I would say you probably can’t beat it.
